Less known but equally significant is Denver’s fervent and intense underground music scene, which has been thriving since the 1980s and sending seismic shockwaves throughout its entire music ecosystem. Established in 1995, Clusterfux has been one of the primary disruptors in the Denver underground for nearly three decades. Their potent blend of hardcore punk and thrash metal hearkens back to the crossover glory days of the 1980s, but their relentless energy and raw sound keep them firmly rooted in the present—a community hungry for something authentic.
